Do Not Buy these Bowls
We purchased two sets of these bowls. We really liked the paintings. However, after a few weeks of using them, we noticed mold on the backs (the part that actually sits on the table). Plus, when they were stacked for storage, we found moisture in between the bowls. Maybe they weren't properly glazed? I don't know, but now we are out $100 dollars. I wouldn't take another chance with these..

THESE DISHES GROW MOLD- DO NOT PURCHASE
We purchased these bowls in September 2008 from a bed and bath retailer who was carrying them. Loved them, used them often. However, 2 years later, I noticed a very strong moldy smell coming from every single dish in the 2 sets that we had. Then, I noticed green mold spots all over the dishes in between the glaze and the ceramic, and black mold rings on the bottom of the dishes. I see another reviewer here also experienced a mold problem with these dishes. Such a shame, they are so pretty, but DO NOT BUY THESE DISHES.
Certified International Siena 5-Piece Pasta Sets
I ordered this set of pasta bowls and serving bowl about 8 months ago. The product arrived well packaged and there were no broken or chipped pieces.
The pieces are ceramic and have a beautiful hand painted scene in different colors and make any meal more pleasing to serve. The dishes are somewhat heavy and seem well constructed. I have used the set over the past 8 months and have experienced no issues with them. The product information says the pieces can be washed in a dishwasher, but I only hand wash and dry them.
The main serving bowl is a little larger than it needs to be, and so it is a bit heavy and if you have limited or small storage areas, this might cause an issue for you when it comes to storing the main serving bowl. I have plenty of storage space and the main serving bowl fits nicely within one of my under the counter storage cabinets, so this is not an issue for me.
